The app “Angry Birds Space” will be free in the apps store for a week, since May 23rd. Apple named it as the “App of the Week” which means that anyone can download it for free for a week. If you’ve ever wanted to try the game but didn’t want to pay the couple dollars to download it, now is your chance.

Jon Vitti, the Emmy-winning writer and producer of hit tv shows such as “The Simpsons” and “King of the Hill”, will be writing a screenplay for an Angry Birds movie. Vitti has a historyo f turning popular franchises into movies. He wrote the screenplay for Alvin and the Chipmunks as well as for The Simpsons Movie, and was a consultant for the first two “Ice Age” films.

Rovio Entertainment will be financing the film, and Sony will release it in 2016. Still a long time away.
